Meet our artist for August- Carolina Colantuoni! Carolina is an Austin-based artist whose work bridges the untamed beauty of the Sonoran Desert with a serene, minimalistic approach. Born and raised in Tucson, Arizona, Carolina grew up immersed in the rugged landscapes and quiet wonders of the Southwest. This upbringing shaped her creative voice, inspiring her to capture the interplay between wildness and stillness through her art.

A multidisciplinary artist, Carolina works with pen, watercolor, and digital illustration, crafting pieces that reflect themes of resilience, peace, and the hidden beauty in life’s ordinary details. Coyotes, prickly plants, desert vistas, and ancient motifs populate much of her work, resulting in a visual language of wild elements, when put together, add up to something peaceful. Carolina’s style is rooted in simplicity, leaving space for interpretation and connection.

Her artistic practice remains a constant, offering her a space to explore and express timeless truths inspired by the landscapes she loves. Through her work, Carolina hopes to encourage a sense of quiet observation, inviting others to find joy as they reflect on the world around them.
